New Books

Whilst in HMV earlier today looking for calendars with my boyfriend (yes, in May), I noticed they had a sale on some of their books and despite being super poor right now, I couldn't resist a bargain.

I bought Part 1 and 2 of 'A Dance with Dragons' (for anyone unaware, this is the fifth book in the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series which the TV show 'Game of Thrones' is based on) for under £10. I'm really happy as I now own all of the books that are currently released. I just finished reading 'A Storm of Swords: Blood and Gold' last week (I'll be writing about that soon) so these two are headed for my ever increasing 'to read' pile for now.

As I queued up to pay for the two books above, I noticed '12 Years A Slave' was part of a promotion where it was only £2.99 when purchased with anything else. I saw the film earlier in the year and have been interested in reading the book since then, so I couldn't resist taking advantage of the offer.

I'm really pleased with these purchases, although my 'to read' pile is growing faster than I'm currently reading so I think I'll have to ban myself from buying any more books for a while. I'd love to know what other people are reading at the moment and recommendations are always appreciated!

Also, for anyone on goodreads here's a link to my profile, feel free to add me!
